Espresso Vanilla Smoothie
I definitely enjoy my coffee so why not make a smoothie for breakfast that includes it. When drinking coffee it is best to balance it with some protein and fat to slow down its digestion so you are not left with low blood sugar after drinking it. Not everyone can drink coffee and if you suffer from stress and anxiety on a daily basis you really should consider avoiding caffeine as it heightens the symptoms.

Ingredients
- 1 shot espresso
- 1 cup almond, coconut or rice milk
- 1 dstsp chia seeds
- 1 dstsp tahini or almond butter
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder I use Vital Pea Protein Powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ - 1 cup ice

- Blend all ingredients together in a blender and enjoy.

You could add a banana to this or use chocolate protein powder to create a mocha flavour.
